BS in Environmental Engineering
Our undergraduate program offers a balanced approach to environmental 工程, offering courses in all major areas of environmental 工程. 此外，我们的 program is designed to give the student a solid foundation in the sciences and 工程.
学生 take courses in biology, chemistry, physics, and math, in addition to a core set of 工程 courses in areas common to all 工程 disciplines.
All of our environmental 工程 courses teach students the fundamentals of 工程 design, relevant laws and regulations, and presents actual case studies. 我们也教 students how to use state-of-the-art computer models to expedite the design process. 学生 are also taught how to balance 工程 designs with economic constraints.
During their senior year, undergraduate students are required to work with a professor 关于毕业论文. Normally, senior thesis topics are chosen by the student in an area of interest to them. For large projects, such as those required for the annual WERC: A Consortium for Environmental Education and Technology Development design contest, students can work in groups. Senior theses may require lab work, detailed 工程 designs, and computer modeling.
